This program allows you to sponsor foreign nationals to work in highly skilled occupations for up to four years, or up to five years if they are in a regional area.

To sponsor skilled workers under the SBS program, you need to meet the following requirements:

=>You must be a lawfully operating business in Australia

=>You must demonstrate that you have a genuine need for the skilled worker and that the position cannot be filled locally

=>You must pay the skilled worker at least the market salary rate and provide them with the same terms and conditions as Australian workers

The stream you choose depends on whether you have a labour agreement with the Australian government or not.

To become an accredited business sponsor, you need to meet the following requirements:

=>You must be a government agency, a publicly listed company or a private company with at least AUD$4 million annual turnover within the last 3 years

=>You must have an active standard business sponsorship for at least 3 years

=>You must have no adverse information

=>You must have sponsored at least 10 primary 482 visa holders in the previous 2 years
