🔹 Applications lodged before this date will be assessed under the existing GTE arrangements.
🔹 The GTE requirement will still apply to Student Guardian visa applicants.

The new GS requirement aims to identify students genuinely seeking quality education in Australia without confusion about their migration intentions. Instead of a 300-word statement, applicants will answer targeted questions providing insight into their circumstances and study motivations.

🔸 Benefits of the chosen course.
🔸 Study history in Australia (if applicable).

Applicants will also confirm their understanding of genuine student requirements, visa conditions, and post-study pathways to migration.

Ministerial Direction No. 69 will be replaced by two new directions to reflect the GS requirement's implementation. Education providers and potential applicants will receive detailed information closer to the commencement date via the Department of Home Affairs website and social media channels.
